Who are we?
We are Lucas, Ryan, and Lindsay Pfeifer (pictured left-to-right), Larry’s three children. Following our dad’s death November 9th, 2018, we set out to find a way to keep his memory alive while continuing to support the field of fire and EMS that he dedicated his life to. Through collaboration with the Office of Student Access and Completion (OSAC), the Larry Pfeifer Memorial Scholarship was established in July 2021. Since our entire family attended public universities in the great State of Oregon, we wanted to focus on helping those who are working to launch their careers from just such institutions.
Currently, Lucas (UO ‘14), a former volunteer firefighter and EMT, works as a resident physician in Southern California, Ryan (UO ‘17) is an industrial construction project manager outside of Portland, and Lindsay (UO ‘20) is a preschool teacher for underserved youth in Southern Oregon.
